Our Work in 2020In 2020, Urban Angels SF’s Angel Corp volunteers delivered over 15,000 meals. Additionally, our pandemic response provided over 10,000 face masks, 6,000 bottles of hand sanitizers, 9,000 bottles of water, and delivered clothing to over 3,000 of our neighbors facing homelessness. This helped slow the spread of the disease and saved lives.
Our StoryIn 2015, Urban Angels SF started with just three seniors taking up collections to deliver hot burritos to those living on the streets. Today our Angel Runs deliver sustenance, hope and dignity through ‘profound hospitality’. We go to our most vulnerable neighbors - those living in tents and those living at the poverty level - build relationships and help provide them with necessities needed to live decent lives; clothing, food, water, bedding, and pandemic supplies such as face masks and hand sanitizer. We provide their children with school supplies and gifts during the holiday season. We are now a growing community of caring volunteers banding together to make a positive difference right in our own communities.
In response to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Urban Angels SF reviewed the impact of our coronavirus mitigation efforts, resulting in our first “Special Report” which documents our work from March 2020–January of 2022. In this time period, our services grew exponentially from an average of 3,000 hot meals served per year to over 7,500 including 9,000 bottles of water, 20,000 face masks, 6,000 bottles of hand sanitizer and 3,000 pairs of gloves.
As the pandemic continued, our volunteers continued to support our most underserved neighbors with basic supplies essential for living lives with hope and dignity.
Our wonderful and generous donors have contined to provide Urban Angels SF with the vitally important financial support needed to fund our programs and help us cover our expenses.

Our MissionUrban Angels SF brings frontline aid to San Franciscans who are in need by rallying community support. The organization alleviates suffering and brings hope to our San Francisco neighbors struggling with homelessness and income instability by providing basic necessities, a friendly face and small but meaningful comforts. Our Angel Corp of volunteers embark on Angel Runs—where we deliver food, water, clothing, and supplies such as face masks and hand sanitizer, and inform our neighbors of essential services. We also support children and families experiencing living in homeless shelters with donations of school supplies, toys and sponsorships.

Our 2021 Impact ReportA celebration of all Urban Angels SF accomplished in 2021 thanks to our generous donors, dedicated volunteers and supporters.
Our 2020 IMpact ReportBeyond helping our neighbors facing homelessness cope with the pandemic, we managed to bring joy! Our School Supply Drive for elementary school children living in SF’s family shelters provided 240 new backpacks filled with supplies and a 30-unit electronic device charging station for learning devices. In our Toy Drive, we made the holidays special for 350 children when they received new toys. A small but important way to show these children they are loved and valued despite their hard circumstances.
