Youths go above & beyond to help final 100 kids in need to get Backpacks Full Of Love
Can you guess why Aaron, Jeremy and Abi (above) emptied their piggy banks?
It is because they cannot imagine how it would feel to start school with no backpack and no school supplies 💔
These 3 kids donated all their savings to Backpacks Full of Love — which is 90% toward the goal. Although the campaign clock has run out, we’d like to extend 1 week longer. It’s not too late for you to help, too!
Thanks to these 3 kids (and their parents Rachel and Carl), and our other generous individual and company donors, 900 students living in poverty like Juan, age 7, will start school this August with a brand-new backpack filled with school supplies.
Help ensure no child is left out! $500 helps 20 students; $2500 helps all 100 kids who still urgently need a backpack & school supplies. Donate Now as our campaign is extended until 8/7!
But these aren’t the only youths stepping up in support of the children who lack resources for school…
YAC releases 2nd video in support of campaign
Urban Angels SF’s impactful Youth Ambassador Corps leadership team is back at it with another compelling video speaking as to why the Backpacks Full of Love campaign is so important. Watch the video below. (If you missed their first video, check it out here.)
With children like Juan, age 7, and his other 999 classmates who are living in shelters and in poverty here in San Francisco, starting school in a few weeks, now is the time to donate. Thanks to generous donors we are 90% funded which means 100 children are still wishing for a backpack. Be a hero for these at-risk students and donate now. The campaign has been extended to 8/7.
In case you missed it…
We invite you to listen to an expert who spends every day working with SF schoolkids who live in shelters. Jacqui Portillo, director of the Dolores Street Community Service Center has seen firsthand the success that ensues when children have the basic supplies they need. Watch the video below now.
As Jacquie invites you to, please donate to help Juan, age 7, and the other local children who need backpacks and school supplies now in order to succeed. Their parents struggle with finances, evictions, and basic stability.
By helping these children with their education, your financial support will do so much more than lift them up toward a better life. When they benefit, so does our community.
Donate now. Campaign ends 8/7.
