100 boxes of dinnerware donated via Heath Ceramics

Thanks to the generosity of our partner Heath Ceramics, Urban Angels SF facilitated the donation of 100 boxes of dinnerware to over 150 San Francisco families transitioning to permanent housing and living at the poverty level.

Heath Ceramics customers participated by bringing gently used dinnerware of any brand to Heath Ceramics, who generously offered a like-for-like 20% discount to those who donated. Heath Ceramics is a noted American maker of dinnerware and tile, made locally and sustainably, in California since 1948.

The donated dinnerware was sorted and delivered to low-income and formerly unhoused individuals and families, giving them a boost as they start to rebuild their lives and improve their homes.

“Being part of the community means giving back and taking care of our communities,” says Heath Ceramics CEO and Co-Owner Robin Petravic.

For over 10 years, Heath has hosted a community giving-back event called the Home Plate Dinnerware Exchange in Los Angeles, and for the first time, they included the Bay Area community through Urban Angels SF.

“We’re humbled to help and bring the community together every year,” Danielle Rippon, VP of Sales for Heath Ceramics shared.
