Rise Up SF Launches Today!

Urban Angels SF is proud to launch today its educational support program, Rise Up SF, that benefits children from families that are homeless or living at the poverty level in San Franciso.

Phase one of the program is to provide one-on-one tutoring in reading to 100 K-through-4th grade children. Almost 50% of SFUSD children are not reading proficiently for their grade level. Research shows that it is vitally important that they be reading proficient by the time they finish 4th grade because if they aren’t, they may never catch up.
