Thanks to you, 1,000 SF children who live in shelters and in poverty received wonderful holiday gifts to bring them JOY! 

Thanks to you, 1,000 deserving SF students received brand-new backpacks filled with essential school supplies in time for the new academic year to help them BE PREPARED! 

Thanks to you, UASF is able to continue fulfilling our mission for the 10th year in a row -- to help San Franciscans, especially young students, who are in great need by rallying community support!

None of this would have happened in 2024 without your support. 

MOST IMPORTANTLY, your support will allow under-served students to improve their literacy through UASF’s free advanced reading tutoring programs so they reach the vitally important threshold of being reading proficient by 5th grade. 

UASF's new Rise Up SF tutoring program launched in summer 2024 with a successful pilot program.  This year UASF is committed to enrolling hundreds of elementary school students in free high-impact tutoring programs; both reading and math.

Children who do not reach reading level by 5th grade are unlikely to graduate from high school, will likely be consigned to low paying jobs, are 450% more likely to experience homelessness, and risk involvement with the criminal justice system.
 
By reaching reading level by 5th grade, students perform better in all their subjects, behave better, attendance is higher and they are very likely to graduate from high school. From there the sky is the limit!

Education is the best way for students from San Francisco families living at the poverty level to break the cycle of poverty. With your support, Urban Angels SF wants to make this happen for hundreds of these deserving children. Please join us in this noble crusade.
